"Smimming"

One day in Park City we REALLY wanted to take the kids swimming. Well, as we got there they told us that the pool was closing due to thunder and lightning. Well, if you have been around any 2 year olds you understand that once you say the word swim that is the end of any discussion of doing anything besides swim. In the car on the way there and back Olivia just kept saying "smimming, smimming, smimming" over and over again. So we convinced Liv and Ashton that the tub and shower in Grandma and Grandpa's room were the swimming pool and splash pad. Ashton has been taking swimming lessons so he was resting his arms on the side and practicing his kicks. It was so cute!

A couple of hours later the bulb over that shower burst over my brother, Jeff while he was in the shower! I was in the next room and I heard a pop, a scream, and then Jeff yelled, "I need help, DAD ONLY!" I am guessing he only wanted dad in there, well because he WAS in the shower after all. Once he got a towel around him the rest of us went in to assist pulling glass out of his head, neck, and shoulders. Head injuries bleed a lot! Beside having all sorts of cuts and burns and having one little bald spot were the glass literally shaved his head, Jeff was fine. I am just so glad that didn't happen when Livi and Ashton were in there! We received a basket from the managers office as an apology. I guess they could tell we weren't going to press charges or they might have sent a bigger apology.
